Ice Ribbon has announced the tournament to crown a new champion. As previously reported before the site went live, 19 O’Clock Girls’ Pro Wrestling has plans to introduce a fresh title – the IW19 (Internet Wrestling 19) belt. The champion will be decided next Tuesday in a four-woman tournament, with Tsukasa Fujimoto vs Mika Iida in one semi-final, and Mochi Miyagi vs Tsukushi in the other, with the two winners meeting in the final to determine the first titleholder.

Fujimoto must be considered the favourite to win the whole thing. Although she didn’t debut until her mid twenties, the 27-year old has played catchup in swift manner, capturing two ICEx60 Singles Championships, two Triangle Ribbon titles and the International Ribbon Tag Team Championship. While that’s impressive enough, Fujimoto currently hold all three of those belts simultaneously at the moment.

18-year old Iida was the last wrestler to come out of NEO, only having a handful of matches before the promotion closed. Since then, she has migrated to Ice Ribbon, though is still referred to as an independent freelance competitor.

Rookie Miyagi is the newest Ice Ribbon member, debuting on Christmas Day last year. The 24-year old hair and make-up artist is primarily a power wrestler, though her finisher is currently undefined. However, even though she may hold a weight advantage over her 88lb semi-final opponent Tsukushi, she is outmatched when it comes to experience, even though the tiny competitor is just THIRTEEN years old.

The 4’9″ tall Tsukushi debuted in the spring of last year, though she isn’t the youngest competitor on the Ice Ribbon roster. In fact, she is the third youngest member. Nonetheless, she has received a shot at the ICEx60 Singles Championship, though was unsuccessful in her attempt.
