In Video: Mistress Belmont unseats Alexxis Nevaeh

Mistress Belmont Dante LunaHappy Thanksgiving to our American visitors – we hope you have all had a relaxing and wholesome day.

And now, women fighting each other.

On August 8, 2010, Alexxis Nevaeh began an unprecedented third reign as World Women’s Wrestling Champion. She defeated Mistress Belmont to lift the title, getting a measure of revenge after Belmont had beaten her for the belt on March 20 that year. On November 9 of this year, Nevaeh’s 1,208 day reign as champion came to an end with Belmont winning her second WWW title on New England Championship Wrestling‘s card in Beverly, MA.

Between the pair, they have held the WWW Championship for the last 1,592 days, with the last person other than them to wear the belt being Ariel, who dropped the belt to Belmont on August 8, 2009. As you can imagine, this has been a long feud and they have fought many times. After the jump is the match which saw Alexxis’ mammoth reign come to an end. Have a watch while you wait to make room for pumpkin pie… (more…)

Ringbelles Roundup (12 November 2013) – Looking to the future, RCW all-women show, news & more

Taeler HendrixHave you listened to the latest Women Of Wrestling Podcast with Taeler Hendrix yet? Without hyperbole, it is one of our favourite shows in a long time. Interesting, insightful and revealing, the former TNA Knockout talks about how she had no idea what the result of her Gut Check would be or that Joey Ryan was going to gatecrash the segment, was told very little about what her future in the promotion would be or that they were planning to release her.

She also reveals that she wasn’t fully open with them either, as the reason why she put on the weight in-between appearances was to keep herself healthy to fight off the possibility of cancer, and because she was suffering pain when she wrestled as she had no padding on her body when she was bumping. That weight issue is something that I discussed with recovering anorexic and former gymnast Sarah Robertson, and she practically said the same thing.

Taeler also discussed her time in Ohio Valley Wrestling, how she was disappointed with her start in the promotion despite winning the Women’s Championship, and how an instinctive “wrong” move saw her fortunes turn around. She also revealed her intentions to release a book, form a tag team with distant relative Cherry Bomb – all is revealed in the interview – and wrestle in as many places as possible. Instead of moping, shaking her fist at the world or complaining that she’s the victim of a conspiracy theory, she dusted herself off, made a plan and is executing it. (more…)

PWS Bombshells to crown Majestic Champion; Missy Sampson granted final shot at Bombshells Title

PWS BombshellsLast October, Pro Wrestling Syndicate launched an all-women offshoot to its promotion with a controversial name. Called Bombshell Ladies Of Wrestling, its acronym of BLOW ruffled some feathers – though as Annie Social argued at the time, it’s no more offensive than a promotion where the letters are shortened to TNA.

The first show saw the start of the quest to crown a Bombshells Champion, though the road to the title wasn’t a smooth one, as wrestlers either didn’t make the first show or had to bow out due to other issues. In fact, it meant the title decider at the third event was a 3-way which turned into a 4-way when injured Sienna DuVall re-inserted herself into the tournament. Missy Sampson won the championship, though the controversies continued and saw her drop the belt to La Rosa Negra at Bombshells 4 when the referee stopped the match, deeming that Sampson was unable to continue in a ruling which was pretty unique to wrestling and didn’t go down too well.

What followed was heel commissioner Vinny Finucci against everywoman babyface Sampson, who he deemed to be not pretty enough to be the focal point of the promotion. Sampson earned a return match at the title at Bombshells 6, but lost due to another screwy decision. However, by way of winning another tag match at the most recent event in September, she has been granted a final shot at La Rosa Negra in a 2 out of 3 falls match at Bombshells 8 on December 14 in Avenel, NJ. PWS Bombshells 7 live results (now updated with thoughts)

PWS BombshellsPro Wrestling Syndicate Bombshells returns to iPPV under its new name, having previously being known as Bombshells Ladies Of Wrestling, and the show is headlined by Missy Sampson‘s quest to regain the Bombshells Championship from La Rosa Negra, who won the belt from her under screwy circumstances in May. Following an unsuccessful attempt to win the title in July, Sampson recruits her tag partner Annie Social to take on Negra and her hired hand Amazing Kong.

Elsewhere on the card, former WWF Women’s Champion Leilani Kai makes her iPPV debut against Sumie Sakai, Angelina Love faces former Women Of Wrestling star Riot, and the Strength In Numbers faction is also in action – with Jessie Kaye and Alexxis Nevaeh meeting the Freaks and Geeks tandem of Veda Scott and Mistress Belmont, while Amber Rodriguez tackles cousin Jennifer Cruz.

Bombshell Ladies Of Wrestling #5 & #6 results – La Rosa Negra defeats Cheerleader Melissa

BLOW posterPro Wrestling Syndicate‘s all-female offshoot Bombshell Ladies Of Wrestling is back in what – until earlier this week – we thought was a DVD taping, but yesterday, we were informed that the show in Iselin, NJ was going to be broadcast on iPPV. You can order the show here.

On the fourth instalment in May, La Rosa Negra won the Bombshells Championship from Missy Sampson right after Sampson had defeated Mickie Knuckles to retain the belt. The finish was a confusing one, as Negra won via referee stoppage in a faux-MMA style, declaring that Sampson was unable to continue. On this show, the champion puts the belt on the line against debuting Cheerleader Melissa after getting past Angelina Love last month at a PWS show.

Elsewhere on the card, Love takes on Shelly Martinez, and Jessie Kaye, Mistress Belmont & Jennifer Cruz make their debuts. We will be updating results as they happen, so click after the jump to keep up with the winners and losers… (more…)

In Video: Introducing Kasey Ray

Kasey Ray Mistress Belmont NECWKasey Ray really lucked out when Luscious Latasha decided to move from Massachusetts to Florida. Latasha relocated in the middle of a programme involving she and Mistress Belmont in New England Championship Wrestling. At the time, Belmont and Latasha’s hostilities were seeing either one – or both – of them being disqualified, with Belmont also starting to receive gifts of violence which she would use on her opponent.

The storyline seems to have continued in 2013, with Kasey replacing Latasha as the babyface in the feud. Belmost is still receiving gifts and showing no respect for authority, while Ray is the valiant fan favourite who is doing her utmost to stop her.

Their latest match was the main contest of NECW’s latest episode, with gifts of weapons banned from ringside, and gives us a great opportunity to get a look at Kasey Ray. Click after the jump to see her in action against Mistress Belmont. (more…)

In Video: A bloody affair for the WWW Championship

The World Women’s Wrestling Championship has a longer history than both the SHIMMER and Women Superstars Uncensored Championships, and boasts a champion who is pushing two years with the belt – albeit with one of those years didn’t feature any defences as the parent company, New England Championship Wrestling, was inactive. Its current titleholder is Alexxis Nevaeh, AKA former WSU Tag Team Champion Lexxus, who won the title in the match that we bring to you today.

This is Alexxis’ third reign as WWW Champion. The first reign began after she won a four-way in August 2007, but ended at WWW’s 2nd Anniversary show the following March at the hands of Ariel, who turned heel in the process. To regain the belt, Nevaeh had to defeat 10 top WWW stars to get the shot, which she successfully did, and won back the title in March 2009.

He second run with the championship was cut short by Mistress Belmont, who took the WWW title for her first reign in March 2010, with the feud between the two escalating to the point that they had to settle their differences inside a steel cage in Quincy, MA on August 8 of that year. Click after the jump to see a hard-hitting cage affair with a pre-match brawl, chairs, blood, and crazy bumps… (more…)

Pro-Wrestling SUN: SUNrise Fallout, new roster member announced

Pro-Wrestling SUN promoter Allison Danger has just passed through the following press release:

The debut of Pro-Wrestling SUN in Jackson, NJ was a great success! Thank you to those who were able to make the trip out there to share in the our day. Here is the fallout from SUNrise:

Mercedes Martinez (WSU) and Kellie Skater (PWWA) opened the show with a fantastic match that saw gratuitous amounts of shenanigans from the Aussie, yet they were no match for Latina Sensation. Skater fell to the Fisherman Buster from the reigning WSU Champion.
