Jennifer Cruz‘s push up the Women Superstars Uncensored ranks continues after she and partner Mike Dennis won the King and Queen of the Ring tournament in collaboration with National Wrestling Superstars in Dunnellen, NJ, defeating Johnny Knockout & Jana in the final. The win also means that Cruz remains undefeated in WSU competition, and could see her surge toward a title opportunity.

Also on the card, Jessicka Havok‘s first WSU contest since winning the promotion’s top championship saw her successfully defend the Spirit Championship against Marti Belle, which also served to forward the ongoing feud between Belle and former tag team championship partner Tina San Antonio, while Havok’s Midwest Militia teammates Allysin Kay & Sassy Stephie held onto the Tag Team Titles by defeating Alicia and Brittney Savage.

First round:
1. Johnny Knockout & Jana defeated Rick Michaels & Nikki Syxx thanks to a dragon sleeper submission
2. Jennifer Cruz & Mike Dennis beat Dixie McGuire & Austin Williams. Cruz pinned McGuire thanks to a discus punch.
3. Jenny Rose & Jeff Cannonball topple Nicolette the Monkey and Nicky Owens. Rose pinned Nicolette following a spear.
4. Tina San Antonio & Jack Spade defeated Rick Cataldo & JD Smooth. Smooth knocked out Cataldo after the match after not getting along throughout the contest.
5. Jessicka Havok retained her Spirit Championship by beating Marti Belle with an Air Raid Crash. Tina San Antonio came out during the match to cheer for Marti, who she wanted to win the title so she could take it from her, though the Midwest Militia held her back. The finish came after Belle was gorilla pressed into the growd by Havok, and only just made it back to the ring before being counted out. Tina attacked Marti after the match.
6. Cruz and Dennis topple Rose & Cannonball when Dennis pinned Cannonball.
7. Jana & Knockout beat San Antonio & Spade. Marti Belle chased Tina to the back with a chair, leaving Spade alone to be pinned by Knockout.
8. Sassy Stephie & Allysin Kay defeated Alicia and Brittney Savage to retain the Tag Team Championship. Havok came out to distract the challengers, giving Stephie enough time to hit the Kiss My Sass on Savage for the pin.
9. Gene Snitsky bested Vic Voorhies.
10. Cruz & Dennis beat Jana & Knockout to become WSU/NWS King and Queen of the Ring. Cruz got the pin on Jana while Dennis held Jana’s feet down.

After the match, Cruz demanded that Jana kiss her feet. Instead, Jana challenged the new Queen to a match at the J-Cup show on April 28 at the NYWC Sportatorium in Deer Park, NY. That means that Jana will pull double duty, as she and Luscious Latasha are also challenging the Midwest Militia for the Tag Team Championship that night.

Mike J says:

I see endless ideas for the new “Queen” Cruz. This reminds me a bit of Owen winning King of the Ring, where a major tournament transformed a career.

Scott says:

That was COMPLETELY unexpected.
