Australia’s Shazza McKenzie to debut at SHIMMER
The woman we have dubbed “the busiest female wrestler in Australia” has added more dates to her already-bulging diary.
Aussie cheerleader Shazza McKenzie is currently in the US, training with CHIKARA and Combat Zone Wrestling, and made her North American debut last night at the East Coast Wrestling Association show in Newark, Delaware, defeating Kylie Pierce. In the last hour, the announcement has also been made that the 23-year your old from Melbourne will make her SHIMMER debut in less than two weeks at the volumes 45-48 DVD tapings.
McKenzie is the fifth Australian to wrestle at SHIMMER, following former Champion Madison Eagles, Jessie McKay, Kellie Skater and Tenille Tayla , and joins fellow debutantes alongside Leon and Ray.
We spoke to Shazza last November before her debut at NWA Pro Australia, and you can still listen to that interview by clicking here.
Incidentally, if you’re still on the fence about going on March 17 and 18, don’t dither for much longer. Earlier today, SHIMMER updates its Facebook page with this:
The advance for the 3/17 & 3/18 events is slightly ahead of usual with two weeks to go (particularly for the Saturday show), so if you don’t have tickets yet and plan on attending, we strongly suggest getting them in advance. Once we reach capacity we must turn away those looking to buy them at the door at the last minute. We expect both shows to end up selling out this time, but Saturday will do so quicker than Sunday at this pace.
So, get your skates on. Buy tickets by clicking here.

Awesome news as I have become quite a big fan of Shazza since meeting her last year at the big September PWWA show. She’s very entertaining.
I really hope this leads to Madison returning as her manager when she’s fully healed from this recent major knee injury. That would be awesome to see.
