Pro-Wrestling EVE has announced the the crowning of a Queen as part of the supporting card at “NO MAN’S LAND: SJODIN vs ALPHA” event at Sudbury’s Delphi Club on this Saturday. The promotion will present an eight woman elimination tournament, to be dubbed Queen of the Ring, and will result in the crowning of a new #1 contender for the EVE Championship.
The full brackets were completed overnight, and we can now bring it to you. Click after the jump for a look:
In the top half, Nikki Storm - who currently boasts a four match win streak over Tsukasa Fujimoto, Kirsty Love, Hikaru Shida and Holly Rocamora - will take on the debuting former Ohio Valley Wrestling Women’s Champion Hannah Blossom, with Hannah’s twin sister and fellow former OVW Women’s titleholder Holly going against one half of the Glamour Gym, Sara-Marie Taylor, potentially setting up a Blossom v Blossom semi final encounter.
Meanwhile, in the bottom half, Rhia O’Reilly – who debuts from nCw Femmes Fatales in Montreal next month – will meet April Davids, who was recently unsuccessful in her challenge for the EVE Championship in a three-way against Champion Jenny Sjodin and “Portugal’s Perfect Athlete” Shanna (though it was Shanna and not Davids that tapped out to the titleholder’s armbar submission), and also lost in a singles challenge against Sjodin last October. One would anticipate that this is a “last chance saloon” situation for Davids, who has had two unsuccessful cracks at the title. The final match sees the other half of the Glamour Gym, Carmel Jacob, facing fellow Scot and Ringbelles‘ Discovery Of The Year Kay Lee Ray in what is likely to be a battle – the two have fought many times in Scotland, engaging in wild brawls, and even a death match last year.
The other announced match for the event is Sjodin defending the EVE Championship against Alpha Female, who has just one defeat on her EVE record. Like Storm, Alpha is also on a four match win streak in the promotion, teaming with Super Janey B to beat the Glamour Gym, then seeing off Shida and Taylor in singles action, before defeating Viper & O’Reilly in a three-way in October.
