My Name Is… returns for its second show with a woman who chose to leave her home country to become a professional wrestler.

Aleida Ortiz left Puerto Rico for the mainland US, settled in Louisville, KY and began training with Ohio Valley Wrestling. Since then, she has been cutting her teeth in a number of promotions in the midwest (including at the Gathering of the Juggalos under the ArenaChicks banner), taking part in customs shoots and recently making her OVW debut.

As part of her chat with Lee Burton (which is her first ever interview as a wrestler), the 23-year old “Latin Beast” discussed why she chose to move to be part of OVW, her strengths as a character, her shopping list of wrestlers, her ultimate dream in wrestling and her upcoming dates in February. It’s an interesting ten minute conversation, so check it out!

I have known about this girl since before her 1st match and I am not only extremely proud that she calls me her #1 fan but also her friend as well. The “Beast From The Southeast” in time is going to be an amazing strong-style joshi, just as she is an amazing person! This is one girl to keep your eye on here in the midwest fo years to come as she has all the real tools that count and will have no bigger supporter in my as she follows her dream! Aleida is the most inspiring person I know! :)
