Weather wreaks havoc with WSU card

Women Superstars Uncensored‘s first matches of the year as part of a joint show with National Wrestling Superstars in Stirling, NJ fell victim to the harsh weather that the north east of the US is dealing with at the moment. Sub-zero temperatures, snowy conditions and icy roads meant that Luscious Latasha, Amber, Lexxus and Molly Holly didn’t make it, while Jillian Hall (who was meant to be wrestling Traci Brooks in the main event with Molly refereeing) was stranded in Atlanta, GA. That meant a big rewrite of the WSU matches…

The scheduled 10 woman tag team match became an 8 woman affair instead, with Jennifer Cruz (who was originally pitted to wrestle Mercedes Martinez before the match was cancelled due to the WSU Champion’s concussion) replacing Amber and Lexxus, while the other team was one down because of Latasha’s absence. Meanwhile, the main event was changed to a 6-woman tag with the Midwest Militia of Jessicka Havok, Sassy Stephie and Allysin Kay, as well as Brittney Savage and Alicia pulling double duty.

Despite the rewrite, our correspondent David Muscarella reports that the women’s matches outshone the men’s contests, so that is still a success for WSU. Click after the jump to see the results.

1. Jessicka Havok pinned Becky Bayless with an Air Raid Crash to retain the WSU Spirit Championship.
2. Jenny Rose and Jessie “Bonesaw” Brooks went to a 15 minute draw. After the match, Rick Cataldo came out to berate both women and took a beating as a result. This brought out Cataldo’s new masked protege to make the save – he called her is “big dark secret”. One theory is that it is Niya, who lost a “loser leaves WSU” match at Breaking Barriers 2 last November.
3. Jennifer Cruz, Sassy Stephie, Allysin Kay & Tina San Antonio defeated Marti Belle, Brittney Savage, Alicia & Jana when Tina pinned partner-turned-enemy Marti Belle. Savage and Alicia brawled to the back with Stephie, Kay and Havok (who came out to interfere).
4. Alicia, Brittney Savage & Traci Brooks beat Jessicka Havok, Sassy Stephie & Allysin Kay when Alicia pinned Stephie following a Michinoku Driver. Brooks had issued an open challenge, which brought out the Militia, with Alicia and Brittney coming out to even the odds and gain some revenge following the 8-women tag match defeat.

  2. Man what the hell has happened to Sassy Stephie? I remember a few years ago she actually looked good…hot even! Then out of nowhere she started getting chubby and looked less motivated in the ring.

Such a shame to since I enjoyed her work in years past. I guess her role as jobber is fitting now.
