LuFisto defends against Kalamity at Femmes Fatales

As promised, NCW announced the main event for its Femmes Fatales VII show during their Season Premiere last night – and it’s a big one. On October 8th, 2011 at the Centre St-Barthélémy in Montreal, LuFisto will put her NCW:FF International Championship on the line against possibly her toughest challenge to date… the Oncoming Storm known as Kalamity. The announcement (made by Kalamity’s devious former manager Joey Soprano) may well bring to an end the unique partnership that has grown between the two this year, which started when Kalamity assisted LuFisto in defending her title against Angie Skye in June, and strengthened when LuFisto saved Kalamity from a 3-on-1 beatdown at Amazones et Titans last month. With the teacher/student “Fatale Fantasy” combination scheduled to team together again on September 24th at NCW’s Mesures De Guerre event against the male tag team of Thomas DuBois and Mathieu St-Jacques, can the two continue to co-exist with their title match so close? There was a handshake between the two last night, with Kalamity promising that she would stand by her friend no matter what. October 8th will be the third battle between LuFisto and Kalamity, and with both the previous encounters talked about as possible Match of the Year candidates in Quebec, we would expect and assume more of the same next month.

In addition, the promotion also announced that Angie Skye will battle Toronto’s Cherry Bomb in a singles match. Skye is trying to follow Kalamity’s upward mobility in the promotion, having made it all the way to the finals of Amazones et Titans with her partner Thomas DuBois, before losing to Cheerleader Melissa & Jay Phenomenon, while Cherry is trying to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at the hands of WSU regular Brittney Savage at Femmes Fatales VI in June, where she lost thanks to Savage holding the tights behind the referee’s back.

So, the card for October 8th currently shapes up like this…

3. To Settle The Feud: Mary Lee Rose vs Cheerleader Melissa

5. Angie Skye vs Cherry Bomb

The show will also feature international stars Yumi Ohka (making her NCW:FF debut) and the return of Australia’s “Rate Tank” Kellie Skater. Tickets are available via the NCW:FF store, priced $15 or $30.
